I'm very pleased to see that you are carrying the Carol Byrnes powerpoint, What my dog is saying. I have seen some of it and have been planning on buying it to share with volunteers and staff at the shelter where I volunteer Nancy Abplanalp, Education Specialist, Thinking Dogs

I volunteer in the program ICAN (www.icandog.org) which trains service dogs in 4 Indiana prisons. Obviously attending workshops by outstanding presenters is out of the question for our inmate/trainers. But because of Tawzer we are able to bring much needed training into the prison system.

This is also a fine time for me to congratulate you for some of the fantastic DVD's you have been putting out there for us. I picked up a couple through Dogwise too, when books pop up that I just have to have. You are absolutely right about McConnell's latest seminar on play being the highest in quality, information and entertainment almost to date. Only half way through that one. It reminds me of Patty Ruzzo's presentations when visuals are put up while they are talking away and one dare not move from the screen lest you miss a tidbit of huge proportions.

I am a behavior junkie and always want to improve my shaping skills. I got this video hoping it would teach me something I don't already know and was not disappointed. Everything is broken down into tiny steps (just like any good shaper) and even if you've never done shaping before you could be well on your way with this video alone. I thought this video was fantastic and gave me LOTS of ideas for creative things to work on with my dogs- something I'm always looking for. This is a must have for any trainer!!

I want to thank your company for making DVDs of great seminars. I have found most of the DVDs and videos I have bought to be very helpful. The best one is Jean Donaldson's "Canine Fear, Aggression and Play". The editing was wonderful. It was very helpful to have the questions printed on the DVD so that the viewer could be included. I also liked the CD that has the notes and slides. It was well worth the $120 that I paid.

There is SO much information packed in this seminar it is amazing. If anything there is so much information it is overwhelming; I am glad I have the DVD so I can bite this off in small chunks. It's as if Skinner and Pryor were all rolled up in one place. If you want a complete foundation in operant conditioning and clicker training all in one place, this is it. Kathy Sdao presents this massive amount of information in an easy to understand lecture format followed by working sessions to demonstrate the points

I have lent this dvd to a few of my clients with aggressive dogs, and every time I hold my breath waiting for its return! There is so much information here, and Brenda Aloff is so entertaining, that I find myself watching this video over and over. Some of it may be over the heads of the average dog owner, but I'd still recommend it for virtually everyone with an aggressive dog. Will help you put your own aggression problem in context and give you hope that the behaviour CAN be modified. She doesn't promise it will be easy. Owners are shown continuing to work on modification after an intensive 2-year training period, but it's clear that they have made tons of progress during that time. Techniques are all positive, and emphasize a patient, consistent approach.
 

I purchased Sue Sternberg's "Fundamentals For Shelter and Rescue". When we needed to see close ups of the dogs (like expressions), you were right there. You captured all the video and all important happenings. I must say, the best seminar taping job I have ever seen, and I have a bookcase full of tapes. Please keep up with Sue Sternberg.
